Detailed application track for experienced Professionals
Phone interview
The first step in our recruitment process is designed to get to know each other. A Toyota recruitment officer will contact the candidate with questions related to his/her professional background, and will allow him/her the opportunity to motivate the application.
First interview
After a brief introduction over the phone, the next possible step is a competency based job interview. For this occasion the applicant gets to meet his/her future manager, assisted by one of our recruiters. The range of topics includes technical aspects, personal experiences, and specific knowledge related to the vacant job.
Testing/Assessment
At this stage of the selection process the candidate will be asked to complete a series of online tests. The purpose is to monitor logical thinking, ‘Toyota Way’ competencies and overall business attitude.
Final interview
The final interview has a similar set-up as the initial interview. For this step however, senior management representing the vacant position will join the conversation.
Contract Proposal
Once selected, the candidate will receive detailed explanation on all compensation and benefits as well as working terms and conditions.
New Hire Welcome Induction
During this informal discussion, the new member will be introduced to his/her HR representative who will act as a ‘person of trust’.
New Hire Orientation Days
Each new member is offered a three-day welcome package. It includes workshops on Toyota business culture, Toyota business practices and values, and a trip to one of our production plants.
Detailed application track for students
Phone interview
For internships the recruitment process is slightly different. During the first phone call, our recruiter will mainly focus on the academic background of the candidate. Through competency based questions, an assessment is made in terms of language skills and motivation.
Phone Conference
The details of the internship project will be clarified by the student’s future mentor, again assisted by our recruiter. This allows the student to ask questions about the technical aspect, and the expected outcome of the internship.
Agreement on Terms and Conditions
One of our recruiters will explain the details of the internship agreement over the phone.
New Hire Welcome Induction
On the first day of the assignment the intern is welcomed by the recruiter. He/She will receive a full guided tour of our premises, practical tips and a presentation of Toyota’s history.
